The Morgan & Co Multi-Sector Exchange Traded Fund (MCMS) is Zimbabwe’s first actively managed exchange traded fund, listed on the ZSE on 3 January 2022. Rather than tracking a published index, the fund takes long positions in sectors the manager considers fundamentally undervalued, benchmarked against the ZSE All Share Index.
The fund’s constituents are selected by the fund managers with the support of contracted portfolio advisory services. It was the first of two Morgan & Co ETFs, followed by the Made in Zimbabwe ETF in June 2022.
Corporate structure
The fund is a collective investment scheme licensed by the Securities and Exchange Commission of Zimbabwe whose units trade on the ZSE, available to investors through C-Trade and registered stockbrokers.
Morgan and Company (Private) Limited, a licensed stockbroker and investment banking group and a member of the ZSE and FINSEC, is the fund manager.
