Terms of Service - Stocks ZW

These terms govern your use of getstocks.co.zw, operated by Stocks ZW Data. By using the site or creating an account, you accept them. If you do not, please do not use the site.

1. What this site is — and is not

Stocks ZW is a market information service. It publishes company profiles, listing data, price history, filings and calendar entries for issuers on the ZSE and VFEX.

It is not investment advice. Nothing on this site is a recommendation, an offer, or a solicitation to buy or sell any security, and nothing here is tailored to your circumstances. We are not licensed as an investment adviser, broker or dealer in Zimbabwe or anywhere else. Decisions you make with your money are yours. Speak to a licensed adviser before acting.

2. Accuracy of the data

We are direct about which figures on this site are real and which are not, and you should read the site with that in mind:

Sourced. Company profiles, corporate structures, boards, listing status and historical price charts come from issuers’ own published record, the ZSE and VFEX registers, and AfricanFinancials.
Still illustrative. Current quotes, fundamentals, announcements, calendar entries and shareholder structures are placeholder data shown to demonstrate the product. They are not live market data and must not be relied on.

Even the sourced data is provided as-is. It may be delayed, incomplete or wrong. It is not the official record — the exchanges and the issuers are — and you should verify anything that matters against them before acting on it. Spotted a mistake? Email data@getstocks.co.zw and we will correct it.

3. Your account

Give us a real email address; you will need it to verify the account and to reset your password.
Keep your password and second factor to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
Tell us at data@getstocks.co.zw if you think someone else has got into it.
One account per person. Do not create accounts on someone else’s behalf without their say-so.

4. Acceptable use

Please do not:

Scrape, crawl or bulk-extract the site, or republish or resell its content as a data product.
Hammer the site with automated traffic, or otherwise degrade it for other people.
Probe, scan or attempt to bypass authentication, rate limits or any other protection.
Use the site to break the law, or to mislead anyone about the market.

Reading the site normally, and copying a reasonable amount for your own research, is fine. If you want programmatic access, ask us rather than scraping — email data@getstocks.co.zw.

5. Availability

The service is free and provided as-is, with no guarantee of uptime, and no guarantee that a price alert or a digest email will be delivered on time or at all. We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of it, including your account, at any time. We will give notice where we reasonably can.

6. Ownership

The site’s design, code, editorial writing and the way we compile and present the data belong to Stocks ZW Data. The underlying company information belongs to the issuers and the exchanges, and their names and marks are theirs. Anything you create in your account — your watchlist, your alerts — remains yours.

7. Liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any trading or investment loss, lost profit, or other loss arising from your use of this site or your reliance on anything published here, including where data is inaccurate, delayed or unavailable. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

8. Ending it

You can delete your account whenever you like, from Settings → Profile. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms. Sections 2, 6 and 7 survive.

9. Changes and governing law

We may update these terms; the date at the top of this page shows when they last changed, and we will email account holders about material changes. These terms are governed by the laws of Zimbabwe, and the courts of Zimbabwe have jurisdiction over any dispute.
