Seed Co International Limited

Seed Co International Limited (SCIL) is the pan-African arm of the Seed Co Group, operating in over 15 African countries and developing hybrid seed for maize, wheat, sorghum, rice, sugar beans and soyabeans. Originally secondary-listed on the Zimbabwe Stock Exchange, SCIL became the first company to list on the Victoria Falls Stock Exchange when VFEX launched, while maintaining its primary listing on the Botswana Stock Exchange. Limagrain Group, a French agricultural cooperative group, holds board representation through several nominated directors.

Corporate structure

Seed Co International operates as the continental holding structure for Seed Co Group's country operations across Africa, distinct from the separately Zimbabwe Stock Exchange-listed Seed Co Limited (the Zimbabwean national operating entity). It is governed by a Board of Directors chaired on a non-executive basis, with an executive team led by the Group Chief Executive Officer and Group Chief Financial Officer, and includes several directors nominated by strategic shareholder Limagrain Group.
